Bus Ministry
The bus ministry is an important ministry of Lakeview Baptist Church. Every Sunday our dedicated bus drivers, workers and bus captains assemble at the church preparing for a morning on their route. These precious servants of God drive to the homes of many needy children and bring them to church. Their Sundays start around 8:00 a.m. and end around 2:30 p.m. This service requires deeply dedicated people and we are fortunate to have such people. We have been running bus routes since 1987 and we have seen a number of children grow up to become wonderful parents and build families of their own.
Children’s Ministry
Lakeview Baptist Church has a very exciting children’s ministry which includes Sunday school classes according to age. Our teachers are equipped to teach children at their level of understanding. At 10:00 a.m. every Sunday, our classes assemble in the main auditorium. There we sing and start the day with a happy heart. We want to help children build a strong foundation of love and respect for both God and their parents. Parents have a special place in the lives of their children and our goal is to support the home.
We also have a very exciting junior church during the Sunday morning service at 11:00am which involves activities, singing and teaching Bible story lessons.
Teen Ministry
In a world of the mythical, mystical and virtual, how can a teenager determine what is real? Here at LBC we teach teenagers from what has stood the test of time- the Word of God. We teach teens how to gain and maintain a real relationship with Jesus Christ and we give them principles from the Bible which will build their character, respect and love for both their parents and people around them.
Married Couples
In this hectic life we lead, couples need the friendship of other couples who love the Lord. Whether we are at a couples retreat, playing volleyball or enjoying an evening at Craig’s Cruisers, our couples always have a great time together. We welcome new couples to attend our functions and enjoy the fun.
In our couples class we teach couples how to have a happy marriage and parents how to rear children God’s way. We believe the church ought to be the place where we learn how to enjoy the Christian life.
Lakeview Baptist School
Lakeview Baptist School was established to provide a learning environment for our children that reflect our faith, our values and our goals. We are not in competition with public education; the public education system has its own goals and values. Our goal is to help each student reach their full potential; academics, spiritual character, relationships, practical knowledge and social skills. Our goal is to prepare children for life. Our staff is made up of some of the most dedicated people you will ever meet. They believe in a good education and they believe in the children. Lakeview Baptist School has never graduated a child from kindergarten that could not read, count change, tell time and understand God’s simple plan of salvation.
Counseling
Counseling is most helpful when it is practiced in a spirit of Christ’s love rather than a clinical approach. We are real people here, with real answers. Some of the main topics we counsel about concern relationships. Whether it is a troubled marriage, child rearing questions or teen relationships we have experienced counselors equipped to provide real solutions for everyday life.
