Be 100% Sure You Are On Your Way To Heaven.

Do you have problems or heartaches in your life to which you need answers?

There is one problem to which we all need an answer. That problem is knowing where we will spend eternity. The answer to this question is the key to solving all other problems. Thankfully, the Bible has the answer to this serious question.

God created each of us. He knows and loves us even though we have a problem that we cannot fix ourselves. The problem is that we are all sinners. We fail to obey that small voice in our heart and mind that identifies right and wrong. The Bible calls that small voice our “conscience”. Romans 2:14-15 says “For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, theses, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another.”

Too often we knowingly violate what we are sure is right. Our conscience is the witness within us that convinces us that we are sinners. God is a righteous God and he hates sin. Not one single sinner will enter into God’s perfect Heaven in the condition we are in. The Bible teaches clearly that there is a price on sin, and that price is eternal death which takes place in Hell.

Our problem is that we cannot get into Heaven in the shape we are in. God’s problem was that he created all men and he loves each one of us very deeply. With God’s big heart he could not just let all men go to hell without doing something to rescue us from sin, from ourselves and from Hell. So God came up with the solution. John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him, should not perish but have everlasting life.” God sent his precious Son to come to this earth and pay for our sins with his own blood. Jesus died on the cross to pay for our sins and purchase our ticket to Heaven. We must be willing to receive the gift of forgiveness and eternal life.

There are four things that we must know to get this problem solved.
Let’s review the points mentioned above.

First, you must realize that you have sinned. “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23 We all have sinned haven’t we?

Second, you must realize that there is a price on your sin. “For the wages of sin is death.” Romans 6:23a Sin is a serious matter. Our sin brings physical death. Someday we will die, but sin brings spiritual death also and this death takes place in Hell. Jesus was not satisfied with that situation so he came to die in our place.

Third, you must realize that Jesus Christ paid for your sins. “But God commendeth his love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 Jesus never sinned but was punished for our sin. Jesus paid our way to Heaven and this payment is offered to us as a “gift”. “But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23b

Fourth, we must receive Jesus and His gift of eternal life. Here is how we receive it. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13 The word “call” means to “pray” and ask Jesus for that gift. You receive this wonderful gift of Heaven by asking for it. Would you pray right now and ask Jesus Christ to come into your heart and give you the gift of eternal life? Just open your heart and pray,

“Dear Jesus, I know I am a sinner. Please come into my heart and forgive all my sin. I now receive you as my Savior and your gift of eternal life. Thank You. Amen.”

If you meant that prayer, dear friend, the Bible says you are saved and on your way to Heaven. Now, God made you a deal, if you would “call” or pray and ask for the gift of eternal life, Jesus said he would give it to you. Your part was to “call”. His part was to give you the gift of eternal life. Did you “call” upon Jesus? If the answer is yes, and you meant what you prayed, the Bible says you are saved. He gave you his word. Not a feeling or a sign, but His Word, and God cannot lie. “In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began”. Titus 1:2

Settling your eternal destiny is the key to dealing successfully with all of life’s problems. Becoming a Christian does not remove all of your problems. God will make himself known to you through the difficulties of life. It is through our problems that we learn to pray and we will see God lead us to the solutions we need. You will find that the world is helpless when it comes to real solutions. Only Jesus Christ and his Word can equip us for handling life’s problems. May you find good success through God’s Word.

What We Believe

Our Mission Statement

We believe that the local church is precious to God and was intended to be the center of life for those individuals that love the Lord and desire to maintain a growing relationship with Him.
We also believe that God designed the church to be the place where His truth is given out and His word will bring victory in every area of our Christian lives. We will endeavor to preach the whole counsel of God without regard to public policy or political correctness. As God’s people, we need comfort and correction, encouragement and direction.

We believe that everyone deserves to hear a crystal clear presentation of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe that we are commanded to share the love of Christ with everyone regardless of race, color, age, social economic standing or background. We desire to build our members to reach their full potential.

Our Book

The pastor and people of LBC are unashamedly a people of the Book. The King James Bible is our lifeline to God’s working. We preach it, read it, memorize it, share it and love it. We believe that if God can create the universe, He is also able to preserve His word and provide for us a book that contains His will and direction for us. We also realize that while many churches claim to believe the Bible, we will not spend our time trying to change it, excuse it or deny its teachings. Our goal is not to try to change God’s perfect book, but let God’s perfect book change us and to teach us to love and live as a child of God. We have endeavored to base all of our teachings and practices on the Bible and our desire is for it to permeate every part of our lives. We are unashamedly a people of the Book.

Our Church Affiliation and Spirit

We are by conviction and practice a Baptist church. We are independent and fundamental. Our pastor is our shepherd. LBC is not board run, it is pastor led. We love and support our pastor. Our goal is to provide an atmosphere of love and encourage spiritual growth. The pastor preaches the truth right straight out and we believe it is every members job to take those steps to become closer to Christ. When our pastor comes down out of the pulpit, he will be your friend to encourage you, not to judge you. Our pastor loves us and gives us room to grow.
